Fylde Council have organised a free training session for Fylde businesses, focussing on counter-terrorism, provided by counter-terrorism professionals at Lancashire Police. Whilst acts of terrorism are rare, the threat is real and persistent. The training, Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Awareness helps you identify, respond to, and deal with the most likely attack methodologies used by terrorists. The training session lasts two hours and will cover:

• The current threat
• Identifying and responding to suspicious behaviour
• Identifying and responding to suspicious items
• Firearms and weapons attacks (Run, Hide, Tell)
• Postal threats and social media.

We urge Fylde business operators to participate in this free training and help us keep our communities safe.
